How does 3T insert text into my fields? +
Once recording stops, 3T securely forwards the audio to the serverless proxy, gets the Whisper transcript, and uses a Chrome script runner to paste the text directly where your keyboard cursor was focused.
Is my audio recorded or stored? +
Absolutely not. Your audio recording is converted into a temporary memory buffer in the extension service worker, sent directly to our secure Cloud Function proxy to call the OpenAI API, and immediately discarded. Your voice data is never saved on any database.
How do I cancel my subscription? +
Once signed in, click "My Account" at the top of the landing page, then click "Manage Subscriptions & Invoices". This redirects you to the secure Stripe billing customer portal where you can cancel, update payment details, or view invoice receipts.
How do I sign in to the extension? +
To use 3T, you must be signed in. Click the 3T puzzle piece or logo icon in your browser's top right toolbar. This will open the extension popup where you can log into your account.
My shortcut isn't working / How do I change it? +
Chrome doesn't allow extensions to force shortcuts if they conflict with others on your system. To set or change your shortcut manually, go to chrome://extensions/shortcuts and scroll down to Talk To Type (3T).
You will see two shortcut options:
1. Activate the extension: This is a default Chrome shortcut to just open the popup.
2. Toggle voice recording on and off: This is the main 3T shortcut! You should bind this one to Ctrl+Shift+Space (or your preferred keys) to type instantly.

Why did it only type "..", ".", "you", or "Thank you."? +
This happens when the AI receives an audio file containing pure silence. To fix this, go to chrome://settings/content/microphone and ensure your correct, active microphone is selected and unmuted.
